SUMIKAEXCEL PES Applications: Tableware field
SUMIKAEXCEL PES has a high heat resistance of 200℃ and excellent impact and steam resistance, making it suitable for tableware used in steam cooking and cooking foods containing oils and fats. Some grades of SUMIKAEXCEL PES also comply with food contact material standards in various countries.
High heat and cold resistance
- Cooking is possible over a wide temperature range from -40℃ to 200℃.
- It can be used in the refrigerator or for cooking oily foods.
- It can also withstand rapid temperature changes such as quick freezing or heating in the microwave after being frozen.
- Unlike metal, it can be cooked using a microwave oven.
- Steaming is possible.
Thermal Conductivity
- It has moderate thermal conductivity, allowing heat to be transferred evenly during cooking.
- It cools quickly when removed from the heat source, allowing for fast and safe handling.
High durability
- It is highly durable and can be used for a long time.
- It can be cleaned with ordinary detergents and bleach.
- It has high durability even in environments and atmospheres that would corrode metals.
- It has excellent durability even when used repeatedly under hot water or steam conditions.
Safety
- Some grades of SUMIKAEXCEL PES meet the standards for food contact containers (tableware) in the United States, Europe, and Japan.
- Even when heated, gas and elution are unlikely to occur.
- It is highly safe because it is not easily broken.
Lightweight
- Lightweight and easy to carry and handle.
Design
- The primary color is a light amber, transparent and calming tone.
- As a thermoplastic resin, a variety of processing methods are available, and its good processability allows it to be designed into a variety of shapes.
- Coloring is possible.
